Now that I’ve settled on my Thanksgiving dinner dessert (Maple & Roasted Pear Cheesecake), I’m looking for inspiration for my annual holiday baking second item.

As gifts, we always give friends containers of my Bourbon Bread Pudding (the recipe is at the end of the post in that link) and a second goodie, too. Last year, we did granola. In years past, it’s been various types of cookies or—in years when I’m feeling generous and not crunched for time—miniature versions of my French Apple Pie.

I like these, but I think I’d just be setting myself up for trouble. I think they’re more work than the apple pies…

Anyone got any go-to suggestions for a good holiday treat?
